In order to branch out and explore new communities in Florida, as well as provide further exposure for its existing members, in 2019 ArtsUnited set a goal to expand their visual art exhibit shows into Palm Beach Country, Florida. The search began for a gallery space located in an area with a burgeoning local arts community that could be economically viable for the organization and its members as well.
Luckily, the Arts Warehouse in Delray Beach, Florida was identified as a space that could meet those needs. Opened in 2017 and located on Artist Alley in the Pineapple Grove District, the Arts Warehouse was the perfect fit for the Art Vision exhibit. The Arts Warehouse operates as an artistic incubator for studio artists and also holds visual art workshops, professional development talks for artists as well as many other special events. With 15,000 ft² of space, Arts Warehouse in Delray Beach seemed like the ideal space to collaborate with for the Art Vision exhibition.
Hosted by the Arts Warehouse manager Grace Gdaniec, the Art Vision exhibition premiered in January of 2020. The reaction among the Arts United members was enthusiastic and electric with 49 artists submitting their work for inclusion in the exhibit. The opening reception for Arts Vision was a massive success and attended by hundreds of members of the community; many of which were not familiar with the gallery space or ArtUnited. Due to this success, we’re delighted to say that Art Vision is scheduled to return in July 2021, and hopefully for many years to come.
